The annual harvest moon and the super moon are especially large and bright. Our perception of the moon is always changing because its' orbit is always moving. Most of the month, it's not in our attention. But on those special events, when we study the moon a little more, perhaps a thought may arise, "I wonder if my loved one across the country is looking at the moon right now?"
If you've had this experience, one might realize that we are all part of the same life-force. A very basic Shinto Moment.
